CAIL / Plus

  1. Improved the toolbar code to avoid flashing when switching between sessions or sizing the window
  2. Reworked startup code to only show the window after the session(s) have started  + have faster startup  (since the windows are drawn in the background)
  3. Improved the shutdown logic and reduced shut down time ~  50 % 
    Note – This improvement is more noticeable if there are many sessions open in a single instance
  4. Enhanced ” Auto Logging ” (Found under the ” File ” menu item) to allow selection of the folder for the log file (instead of always writing to the configuration folder)
    As well, Network drives can now be selected via a standard Windows ‘ File | Open ‘ dialog
  5. Enhanced ” Record Session ” (Found under the ” File ” menu item) to simplify usage and allow for selecting a network drive through a standard Windows ‘ File | Open ‘ dialog
  6. Enhanced ” Playback Session ” (Found under the ” File ” menu item) to simplify usage and allow for selecting a network drive through a standard Windows ‘ File | Open ‘ dialog
  7. Added support for Auto Copy, enabled under the ” Edit” menu item, and is saved per session
    Auto Copy means as soon as you select or extend an existing selection, it is copied to the clipboard – with no need to do an Edit | Copy or Control-C
  8. Added support for right mouse button click paste, enabled under the ” Edit ” menu item, and is saved per session
    If this setting is set, the right mouse button floating and context menus no longer appear
  9. Added support for starting a new FTP instance using the setting from the 6530 session, except username and password
    Note  – Named ” FTP Session ” and found under the “Transfer” menu item.  Only works with SSH secured 6530 sessions.
  10. Cleaned up the configuration files with unused settings have been removed, and several have been renamed to better reflect what they do
    Note  –  The original style configuration files are preserved in case there is a need to revert to a previous version
  11. Major update to the Help system including removing sections that are no longer valid, cleaned up index and table of contents
  12. Fixed an issue to maintain all settings moving between setup categories (where previously some settings would be forgotten when you clicked OK to exit)
  13. Added the ability to send text from a toolbar button
  14. Added support for having OneDrive as the configuration directory

CAIL / Windows

  1. Now allows for a user defined configuration directory
    Note  –  already supported in CAIL / Plus
