CAIL Studio Release 2
includes several refinements which improve Web Interfacing and system
interoperability and features a
new and customer requested capability that allows customers direct
transactional and programmatic access to the NonStop environment.
The new feature is based
on the original XML-RPC standard, is optimized for the NonStop
environment and allows for transactional XML from heterogeneous OS
environments using S/HTTP.
The simplicity of XML
and the CAIL Studio XML-RPC method gives customers options not
currently available anywhere else on the NonStop Systems including full
TMF support, Pathway, direct process access and even Enscribe
capability.
The flexibility of CAIL
Studio lets the customer choose where to put their open web services -
onboard the NonStop or off board on other open web services platforms.
Other new features contained in CAIL
Studio Release 2 include:
-
Enhanced performance – between 2 an 4 times faster screen throughput in
HTML gleaned from customer experience and feedback - thru out CAIL
Studio Release 2
- Function
keys in the Browser – It is now possible to use your web browser as if
it were a dedicated 6530 emulator even though it is processing web
pages over (secure) HTTP.
- Ajax based screen
enhancement for open capabilities and to keep host overhead low.
This new paradigm of web page implementation is especially useful for
open web services and the CAIL Studio Model of Web Enabling.
- New
"open" capabilities - including improved Apache, Ajax, Axis2, .net and Java
capabilities.
- iTP Web Server interoperability - new scripting and
integration capabilities.
- New
and improved interoperability with the HP SASH support strategy
including examples.
As always, CAIL Studio does not
require any extra software on NonStop. No OSS, no SOAP or even iTP or
Java but, CAIL Studio does support and will run with these products on
NonStop if the customer desires.
