CAIL Engineering Services

CAIL Engineering Services consist of two service packages.

  • A regular service call to ensure that your system is working and tuned efficiency. We will answer technical questions and perform all systems checks, and give you a written report every month on what we fixed, what we solved and how we prevented system failures.
  • CAIL engineers are also on-call to answer your technology issues. On call services can either be a part of your regular service package or can be set up on a break/fix basis.

Wireless Communications Manufacturer

Situation

This company was growing from 6 employees to over 50 employees in nine months. They not only had to get all of their new employees up and running as quickly as possible, but they were moving premises also.

CAIL Solution

CAIL was called in to handle all of their infrastructure needs. CAIL network design included wiring, backbone, panels, switches, firewall, desktops, servers, specialized and regular printers, connectivity and phone solutions. CAIL unpacked all of the technology that was moved, and the new technology that was received. CAIL also trained the employees on using the network.

Benefits

CAIL designed, implemented and tested their complete infrastructure in less than two weeks. After the installation, all users were fully functional.

Software Manufacturer

Situation

CAIL was called in after the email server the company was using stopped sending and receiving emails. The entire email system was down for two days. The company has about 15 employees.

CAIL Solution

CAIL discovered that the original set-up for the mail server was faulty. Two major problems had occurred. The first was that not enough disk space was allocated for the email. Secondly, there was no notification software in place to notify the users to delete their emails after a certain build up, or a certain point in time. CAIL engineers quickly discovered the problem, but in order to solve it, and upgrade the system, we had to take the server offline for two days. A temporary fix could only be put into place originally, and then a more permanent solution was needed, which became costly.

Benefits

It is difficult to know the complete impact, but it cost the company over $7500 in lost productivity time alone. It also cost the company lost opportunities. The new hardware also cost a few thousand dollars.
